Chelsey Nicole & The Northside Vamps

Chelsey Nicole & The Northside Vamps are a Pittsburgh-based soul, blues, and R&B band whose musical style is inspired by the heavy horns of New Orleans just as much as the raw, lonesome Stella guitar. Rooted in unfiltered emotions and classic vibes, the group’s music is a unique blend of familiar and fresh tones.

With influences ranging from soul icons such as Otis Redding to modern shakers like Amy Winehouse, the group as a whole effortlessly employs timeless melodies and instrumentation to exude a natural air of nostalgia for a sound that has never faded away.

Chelsey and the gang released their Love Through the Line debut EP on December 17, 2013, and have since shared the stage with national and international acts such as Andy Allo, Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes and Trombone Shorty.

Wings For Armor

Wings for Armor’s emotion fueled lyrics accompanied by intense, heartfelt musical arrangements and crashing percussion characterize the sonic experience that drummer Christy and singer/guitarist Murph strive to create during their energetic live shows.
Whether its themes such as anger and depression or those of alienation and transcendence, the subjects explored on Wings For Armor’s debut self-released 14 track album, "Chasing And Being Chased" create what many in their fan base have defined as ‘a soundtrack for real life’ due to the way the stripped-down revelations encompassed in their brand of experimental rock reveal the universals of the human experience.

From their start in 2009, Wings for Armor’s mission has been to fuse a connection that draws audiences in by creating music that people can relate to. With varied influences culled from the world of ‘alternative’ and 'pop' music such as 30 Seconds To Mars, Tegan and Sara, Heart, Linkin Park, and Taylor Swift, it’s no wonder that these audiences have been left wanting more.

“Growing up, we both really gravitated towards songs written from the perspective of how the writer feels and we try hard to create that same emotional connection with our audience. We don’t want our music to be about consumerism, but strive to create a shared experience with the crowd.”
